An intimate couples retreat for those ready to go deeper - together
Apply to ReserveMost couples retreats give you frameworks. A communication model. Some tools for conflict. You leave with a notebook full of insights and a genuine intention to use them.
Then life happens. And two months later, you're in the same argument.
We built Vicuña for the couple who's done that - and knows there's a deeper level. Not broken. Not in crisis. Just aware that there's more, and finally ready to go get it.
The difference here is the container. You're not in a conference room with thirty strangers. You're on 60 private acres in Southern Idaho with four other couples who came for the same reason you did. Three full days. The entire property to yourselves. Bernice brings 28 years of clinical expertise and access to ketamine-assisted therapy - a legal, proven tool that creates new neural pathways and dissolves the patterns that talk therapy alone can't touch.
Every detail is prepared. You just arrive.
You've done the work. You've chosen each other, again and again. What you have between you is real - and you know it.
This isn't about fixing anything.
This is about going somewhere neither of you has gone before - together, with intention, in a setting that holds you completely while you do it.
The truth that most couples never get to explore: even the deepest love operates partly through old filters. Long before this relationship existed, each of you formed beliefs about love itself - about what it means to be safe, to be seen, to be enough. Those beliefs were shaped in childhood, by the ways love was modeled and the ways it sometimes fell short. Without realizing it, we bring those unresolved parts into every relationship we build.
It's not a flaw. It's human. But it does mean that a certain layer of intimacy remains just out of reach - not because the love isn't there, but because part of each person is still standing slightly behind the door.
This retreat is designed for what lives behind that door.
You'll go beneath the surface together - into the early experiences that quietly shape how you love. As you see yourselves more clearly, you see each other more clearly. The places that once felt like incompatibility begin to reveal themselves as old wounds, understandable and human and workable.
Psychedelic medicine is offered as a deliberate catalyst for this depth, administered by a registered nurse and supported by an experienced guide throughout the entire journey. Unresolved experiences cause us to build protection around our hearts. That armor may have been necessary once. But it also limits how fully we can be known, even by the person we've trusted most.
The medicine lowers those defenses gently, allowing you to access the truths you've been carrying and to offer them to each other in a held, safe space. When you are seen that completely - and loved anyway - something at the root level heals.
What you uncover doesn't disappear when the weekend ends - integration support continues after you leave, turning insight into a new language between you.
Sixty acres of riverfront wilderness. Mineral pools. Meals prepared for you. Every detail tended to.
You just arrive - and let the depth begin.
Guided psychedelic sessions designed to create new neural pathways and dissolve old patterns. Administered and monitored by a psychiatric nurse practitioner in a safe, supported environment.
Private time with Bernice to work through what's under the surface. Conflict tools. Communication depth. The conversations you've been circling but haven't found the words for yet.
Shared sessions with the other couples, plus dedicated breakout circles where the men and women each gather on their own. Witnessing and being witnessed - and the kind of honesty that only surfaces among people doing the same brave work.
Energy healing to restore balance and clear what the body holds that the mind hasn't processed yet. A powerful complement to the deeper therapeutic work of the weekend.
All meals prepared by Maple Grove from fresh, local ingredients. Unlimited access to six natural mineral pools, riverfront, sauna, trails, and paddleboards. The land does its own work on you.
This retreat isn't for couples in crisis. It's for couples who love each other and know there's more. More honesty. More intimacy. More of each other.
It's for the two people who have built a life together and want to make sure they're still building it toward each other - not just side by side.
It's for the couple who wants one weekend to change the next decade.
If you've been to a group wellness retreat and left inspired but unchanged - this is what you were looking for.
We keep this to 4–6 couples - close enough that you'll actually know each other by Sunday. Big enough that something surprising happens when you're in the room together.
The weekend flows between group sessions, private couple time with Bernice, and unstructured hours at the springs. Nothing is rushed. Everything is intentional.
You arrive Thursday evening. You leave Sunday morning with something you can't unfeel.
60 riverfront acres in Southern Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest. Six natural mineral hot spring pools. Handcrafted yurts and stone shelters. A wood-burning Nordic sauna. Trails, paddleboards, and the kind of quiet that only exists three miles down a dirt road.
2 hours from Salt Lake City. A world away from your regular life.
Lead Facilitator · LCSW, RNC · Trauma Therapist
Master of Social Work, University of Utah · Bachelor of Nursing, Aspen University
Bernice has been caring for people since 1993 - first as a bedside nurse, then as a nurse leader, and now as a licensed clinical social worker and trained trauma therapist with her own private practice. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing from Aspen University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah, and brings over three decades of experience watching how human beings work, break down, and find their way back to themselves.
In her private practice, Bernice works with psychedelic medicine to help clients move through trauma and into lives that actually feel like their own. A significant part of her work is with couples - helping them see how childhood wounds and past relationships quietly show up in the present, and giving them the tools to finally interrupt those patterns.
She has served as keynote speaker at numerous couples retreats and has offered private sessions alongside her oldest son, a nationally recognized speaker, where her clinical depth and his reach have created something genuinely transformative for the couples in the room. Her superpower? Helping people find their voice and learn to stand firmly in their own power.
"We designed this to be the weekend that changes everything. Not because something dramatic happens - because something real does."
A ketamine-assisted therapy program for two people runs $6,000–12,000 on its own. A private couples intensive with a clinician of Bernice's caliber runs $3,000–5,000. Three nights at an exclusive private property like Maple Grove runs $16,000+. You're not paying for services - you're paying for a complete container designed so nothing is left undone.
Every person on this team brings something real. This isn't a curated lineup - it's a group of people who found each other through their own healing and said yes to building something meaningful together.

Bio coming soonBronson and I have known each other since the second grade. A lifetime of friendship, fourteen years of marriage, three kids - and a journey that required us to break before we could rebuild. Trauma, marital dysfunction, and betrayal have all had a seat at our table. No degrees or formal training - our education comes from years of intentional work within our own marriage. The tools, frameworks, and conversations we bring to Vicuña are the same ones that rebuilt us from the ground up. We're not theorists. We're practitioners who've lived through the hardest parts and emerged with something real to offer.
Vicuña was born from a shared vision between Bronson, myself, Dustin, and Lindsey - not to fix your relationship, but to create a space where couples can access the same work that transformed ours. We bring our experience, our honesty, and our unwavering belief that the relationship you want is possible. The couples we work with will learn from experts and facilitators, but they'll also learn from us - from people who have been exactly where they are and chose to do the work anyway. We're here to guide, to share, and to remind you that healing isn't a destination. It's a practice worth showing up for.
Spots are limited to 4–6 couples. Fill out the form below and we'll be in touch within 48 hours to answer your questions and walk you through next steps.
